CIBS-LI launches “Square Feet” real estate podcast

The Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island has launched a new real estate podcast. 

Called “Square Feet,” the podcast aims to explore “the people, trends, and challenges shaping commercial real estate and economic development across Long Island,” according to a CIBS-LI statement. 

The new “Square Feet” podcast is hosted by CIBS-LI President Ralph Benzakein, a principal at Cresa Long Island and David Pennetta, chief strategic officer for CIBS-LI and executive managing director at Cushman & Wakefield Long Island. 

The monthly podcast, produced at Kulka Studios in Hauppauge, will feature conversations with CIBS members and other professionals from across the commercial real estate sector. 

“As the voice of Long Island’s commercial and industrial real estate community, CIBS is always looking for new ways to engage our members and share insights with the broader public,” Benzakein said in the statement. “This podcast allows us to shine a light on the people and projects making a real impact.” 

The podcast is designed to appeal to elected officials, brokers, developers, and influencers interested in the people and projects shaping Long Island’s built environment, according to the statement. The episodes will feature perspectives on regional issues, from infrastructure and housing to policy changes and sustainability, as well as highlighting personal stories of professionals in the field. 

“Our goal is to have meaningful conversations that are both informative and thought-provoking,” Pennetta said. “Whether you’re an elected or appointed land-use official, commercial broker, developer, attorney, engineer/architect, or just interested in the commercial development landscape, this podcast will bring real value.”
