With a long history of aviation manufacturing, Long Island may no longer build aircraft, but there are still several firms that make components and parts and perform critical repairs for the industry.
The Kulka Group recently completed the renovation and retrofitting of a Hauppauge property for an expanding manufacturer that continues the area’s aviation tradition.
Seattle-based Jet Parts Engineering leased the 55,576-square-foot industrial building on 3.43 acres at 30 Rasons Court in Feb. 2025. The property was previously occupied by Hohmann & Barnard, a manufacturer of masonry anchors and concrete accessories, and JPE invested more than $7 million in construction costs to make the facility the new Long Island home for two of the local firms under its corporate umbrella, PG Aerotech and Northeast Aero Compressor (NEACO). The work included a major upgrade of the building’s office space.
Founded in 1994, JPE has grown through acquisitions, including PG Aerotech and Northeast Aero Compressor, both of which specialize in aircraft repair and maintenance for the world’s most active commercial fleets. The recently renovated facility at 30 Rasons Court, first built in 1974 and owned by an affiliate of Link Logistics, is an expansion for the two firms, which are consolidating a total of about 25,000 square feet of former space on Commerce Drive in Hauppauge and Keyland Court in Bohemia.
PG Aerotech has already moved into the Rasons Road building, while Northeast Aero Compressor is currently moving in.

Hauppauge-based Kulka Group served as general contractor for the project, which was designed by Farmingville-based JM2 Architecture. Ronkonkoma-based Emtec Consulting Engineers piloted the project’s mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering.
“Manufacturing has long been one of the top economic drivers of Long Island’s economy, and we’re honored to partner with industry leaders like Jet Parts Engineering, PG Aerotech and NEACO,” Devin Kulka, CEO of The Kulka Group, told LIBN. “Their continued investment in our region strengthens our workforce, drives innovation and reinforces Long Island’s position as a hub for advanced manufacturing.”
Dennis Casale, managing director for PG Aerotech, said the new shared facility will allow his firm and Northeast Aero Compressor to continue their growth on Long Island.
“At a time when aerospace companies are leaving Long Island for other locations, we are proud to invest in our building, our workforce, and our community to ensure we stay put in Islip for the long term,” Casale said. “We could not have done it without our partners in the Town of Islip and the Kulka Organization who made this dream a reality and enabled us to move into our new state-of-the-art facility.”
