Kulka Construction Corp was founded in the basement of Jack Kulka’s home.

1978

Jack Kulka helps found the Hauppauge Industrial Association, which became an important voice in Long Island’s business landscape.

1980

Kulka implemented a 100% computerized office. All employees were equipped with cell phones.

1981

Jack Kulka helps write the contracts utilized by the construction management association of America. He was the only board member who wasn’t an attorney.

1982

Kulka completes 35 construction jobs within the year, which aids in 6,600 new jobs on Long Island.

1982

Kulka diversifies in Real Estate Development, purchasing 52 acres in Hauppauge.

1984

Jack Kulka is awarded with the Israel Peace Medal for his “singular and steadfast” service to Israel.

1985

Kulka partners with Daseli Travel of Hauppauge and Centereach, who has computers tied into 500 airlines throughout the world, with the main thrust focused on small business and medium-sized corporations.

1987

Jack Kulka helps in raising $40,000 for The American Lung Association.

1992

Kulka manages the construction of the first 30,000 prefabricated housing units for soon-to-be discharged military personnel in Russia for General Building Products Corp in Medford.

2003

Kulka completes $1 Billion in Construction.

2004

Kulka is the construction manager for the development of the $25 million North Shore Hebrew Academy High School in Lake Success.

2011

The Long Island Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council honored Jack Kulka for his accomplishment in green building.

2012

Devin Kulka, Jack’s son, begins working for Kulka as a carpenter subcontractor and later as an assistant superintendent.

2016

Devin Kulka officially takes over the daily operations of the company and is promoted to CEO of Kulka.

2017

Kulka completes the construction of the $157 Million Amneal Pharmaceutical Development.

2017

Devin Kulka is named one of the 30 honorees at Long Island Business News’ 30 Under 30 awards for his ongoing revolution of the real estate development industry.

2018

Rob Mannino joins Devin Kulka as a partner in Kulka to help position the company for growth and build out the core service offerings.

2018

Kulka, LLC is re-branded to The Kulka Group.

Devin Kulka is named one of the honorees at the Young Jewish Professionals 40 Under 40 Gala for his talents and accomplishments as CEO.

2019

Jack and Devin Kulka are named Power Listers at the 15th Annual Long Island Press Power List event for their influence as business leaders.
