The moment Maura Spery drove down Neighborhood Rd and then headed south and found the expansive waterfront of Mastic Beach she was smitten. Obsessed with bringing a renaissance and positive change, she has spent the last ten years immersed in everything Mastic Beach. Starting off as a community leader, organizer, Director of The MBPOA, Trustee, and then Mayor of Mastic Beach Village, Maura has worked tirelessly to bring Mastic Beach forward. She worked to secure millions of dollars in Grants and was the sponsor of the Comprehensive Plan. Maura’s background as a premier high-end contractor for over thirty years has honed her business acumen working with some of the world’s finest Designer’s and Architect’s. Well known Designer D.D. Allen of Pierce Allen Inc. affectionately refers to her as “Can Do” Maura for getting impossible tasks accomplished on time and on budget. Maura took the lesson she’s learned to her new high-end contracting business which has enjoyed over 30 years of success. This has allowed Maura to branch out into real estate. Following in a family tradition of owning residential properties in Nantucket MA, Stonington Ct, Waterford Ct, St. Croix USVI, Long Beach CA and Manhattan. Maura currently has holdings in Brooklyn and the South Shore of Long Island.
